This typical island-type par 3 hole where the whole green is surrounded by water without a fairway requires an elaborate tee shot. Fortunately, it has a short distance, and the large green allows you to safely make on-green if you aim your shot towards the huge woods located behind the green. Many people usually hit a relatively long tee shot due to the position of the front bunker, and you need to have the confidence for your shot.
Characteristic of the Original Hole
· This golf course is used for The Players Championship, and a total of 22 golf contests took place in the past 14 years.
· Designed by Pete Dye, this course intends to perform mental and physical challenges of world-famous professional golfers.
· The par-3 hole is composed of the most beautiful and famous island green.
Feature of the Replica Plan
· The landscape view of the original hole is not hindered due to the expanded surrounding areas of the green.
· The smooth passage was created by attaching the cart road to the green as close as possible in order to develop a simple connection to the 5 hole.
